Our client, a luxury 5-star hotel in the heart of Brisbane, is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and increase market share. Key Responsibilities:

* Driving Revenue Growth: Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify and convert lucrative MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) opportunities. This involves understanding the needs of potential clients, presenting tailored solutions, and closing deals that are beneficial to both parties.
* Market Oversight: You will oversee Special Corporate and Catering only business segments, ensuring that our offerings meet the evolving needs of these markets. This includes monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
* Brand Representation: As a representative of our brand, you will participate in all catering and event sales activities. This includes networking events, trade shows, and client meetings where you will promote our services and build relationships with potential customers.
* Sales Planning: You will develop effective group/catering sales plans and actions. This involves setting sales targets, developing strategies to achieve these targets, and regularly reviewing and adjusting these plans as necessary.
* Team Leadership: As a leader, you will manage our high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and feedback to help them reach their full potential. You will foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
* Business Prospecting: You will conduct sales calls to qualify and prospect for new business. This involves identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting our services in a compelling manner.
* Revenue Maximization: You will maximize revenues per available space through effective yield management strategies. This involves optimizing the use of our facilities and services to generate the highest possible return.

About You:

* Experience: You have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a sales environment within an International Hotel Chain. Experience in a 5-star/Lifestyle hotel is preferred. This experience has honed your sales skills and given you a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.
* Talent and Key Competencies: You are a confident, well-groomed individual with a warm and welcoming demeanour. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey information and build relationships. You show initiative, adaptability, and flexibility in your work. You have strong verbal and listening skills, enabling you to understand and respond to the needs of clients and team members. You are skilled at building relationships, facilitating open communication, fostering teamwork, promoting team diversity, and maintaining a strong customer service orientation.


Other Skills:

* You are fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
