Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced healthcare professional to join our Epworth team as Business Development Manager based at Epworth Rehabilitation. Reporting to the Group Director, Strategic Business Development, this role will be responsible for managing and implementing Business Development activities in-line with the strategic and operational plans for Epworth Rehabilitation.
You will work closely with the Epworth Rehabilitation Executive and Leadership team and collaborate with the broader Business Development team across the Epworth group to deliver targeted growth of key clinical services. As Business Development Manager you will identify new and liaise with existing medical specialists and support the development of their private practice.
You will be supported in learning the tasks of the role and work as a member of a very supportive team. It is essential you understanding the private hospital industry, have experience working with medical specialists and have confidence and self-drive to achieve agreed KPIs.
This is an excellent career opportunity and pathway for gaining broad management experience for
an experienced nurse, medical industry representative or career pathway to a hospital executive role. It may also suit an experienced Business Development Manager or medical industry representative seeking flexibility and work-life balance closer to home.
You will make an impact by:
- Identify and implement Business Development opportunities with medical specialists at Epworth Rehabilitation in line with Strategic and Operational plans
- Growing targeted Rehabilitation activity in defined high revenue and high margin services in order to meet activity and revenue budget KPIs
- Implementing strategies to recruit new and retain existing medical specialists with Epworth Rehabilitation
- Work closely with the acute division Business Development Managers and initiate acute VMO engagement activities with VMOs for referral generation to appropriate rehabilitation services
To be successful in this role…
- At least 3years experience working in a clinical role
- An understanding of the private healthcare/hospital industry
- Experience in implementing Business Development or communication strategies or influencing and managing change
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with specialist doctors and practice staff to support business growth
- An innovative, pro-active and resilient attitude
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and database management tools
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confidence to initiate contact with medical specialists and influence decision making
