Grays is revolutionising how assets are sold with great success and is a strong leader in Ecommerce which continues to grow. We are now looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our high performing Victorian Automotive sales team.
At Grays, the Business Development Manager role involves high sales activity where you identify your own leads and build relationships to become a trusted partner for disposal of surplus assets across automotive. Your responsibilities:
• Assessing potential partners, performing competitive research, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships and analysing and developing business cases for new business targets.
• Be a lead point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders, all while providing exceptional customer service.
• Build strong professional relationships within your local and national team.
• Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure budget and KPIs are being met.
• Build quick and sustainable rapport with customers by being onsite to provide them with market leading guidance and sales solutions for their sales needs.
• Utilise your strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills to secure and close new business.
• Plan/Market local sales strategies, proposals, and presentations.
• Successfully execute our brand and messaging strategy and act as an external evangelist of the brand.
• Travel as required to execute your goals.
We’re looking for someone who has:
• Proven sales ability and track record of overachievement and successfully growing market share and identifying, negotiating/converting and closing large dollar deals.
• Expert product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.
• Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment.
• Market knowledge and/or existing relationships across either transport or automotive categories.
• A mindset that is flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing business/market environment.
• Automotive experience essential.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• A willingness to travel (valid driver’s license compulsory).
• The ability to work and collaborate well with remote colleagues and a remote leader.
