IKON Services Australia is a market leader specialising in commercial cleaning services, hygiene & washroom services, property services, waste management & recycling solutions within the public, private and commercial industrial sectors.

Founded in 1999 and with offices in Melbourne & Sydney, IKON Services Australia is the product of 40+ years’ experience and a desire to provide tailored cleaning and facilities management services to some of Australia’s iconic & prestigious commercial sites. 

As a result of strategic growth, an opportunity exists for an accomplished Sales/Business Development Professional to join our team based at our head office in Melbourne. We are seeking an energetic, positive, self-motivated, driven and passionate sales professional to add value to our business through the provision of proactive procurement of new customers through a customer centric lens.

In this role, successful candidate will be:

  • Reporting to the Head of Sales, and focus on new business opportunities.
  • Talented sales professional with a passion for generating leads and closing sales.
  • Ability to tap into potential client opportunities to generate new business and grow relationships.
  • Drive Sales functions of the business and implement, execute a sales strategy.
  • Developing a planned positive approach in relation to obtaining prospects.
  • Conduct site visits, client meetings and tender presentations with the existing team.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients before, during, and after sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events, connect, and influence stakeholders, and maximise lead potential.
  • Willing to make suggestions that lead to improved sales outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather information.
  • Employ a combination of cold calling and in person methods to generate new business opportunities.
  • Some travel may be involved.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Extensive Sales/Business Development experience
  • Previous experience working in similar industry e.g., soft services, retail, hospitality, hospitals etc.
  • Proven sales results, meeting and exceeding KPI's with a hunger for converting all leads and opportunities.
  • Highly organised, exceptional time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Be a natural influencer with superior negotiation skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Focused, goal oriented and highly motivated.
  • Talented sales professional with a passion for generating leads and closing sales.
