Position Overview
Due to significant expansion we are seeking a dynamic and results driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry and a proven track record of driving business growth. As a BDM you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, cultivating strong relationships with customers and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential customers in the freight forwarding and logistics industry
- Develop and execute strategic Business Development plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals
- Build and maintain strong relationship with existing clients while expanding the customer base
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of shipments and delivery of exceptional customer service
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions and competitive activities
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with clients to secure profitable business
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Business Development or other sales related role within the freight forwarding industry
- Proven track record or meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools
