The CompanyOur client is an Australian owned, vertically integrated agribusiness with processing and distribution facilities strategically located across the country. They are a house-hold name in the meat industry, with an exceptional reputation for product, supply chain and company values. They have a well-developed network from their farms through to processing, and a great opportunity to join their team in a Business Development role selling their produce into their mostly wholesale customers.
The Position
As a Business Development Manager, you will work as a part of the Wholesale Sales Division and continue to grow our clients market share with their customers. You will work closely with the senior management group to formulate strategies and connections to continue to grow business opportunities with existing and potential customers, ultimately driven by commercial opportunities and outcomes.
You will have the ability to sell a diverse portfolio of stock, looking for opportunities to identify growth products with customers and be able to influence the purchasing of relevant stock to meet specific customer requirements. You will be comfortable canvassing for new business whilst maintaining accounts and provide technical support to clients regarding product specifications and supply opportunities.
The Person

- Sales experience, ideally in the meat industry or food services sector.
- Experience managing a sales cycle and ability to forecast and manage a portfolio of clients.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to work autonomously and deal with a variety of customers.
