The Opportunity

Due to our commitment to internal mobility, our Services team are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Managerto be based in Melbourne (Victoria).  Utilising your proven skills and experience, you will deploy your passion for outcomes as you manage existing Customers across our Secure Power portfolio, while getting ready for an exciting period of growth within a market that is full of opportunity.

Reporting to our State Sales Manager, you will be empowered to work in an environment that will include a mix of time in the office, valuable face time with Customers and the opportunity to enjoy flexible hybrid working arrangements that support you to make an Impact with the team at Schneider Electric.

This exciting new career opportunity will see you:

  • Maximise orders, profitability and Customer satisfaction within your territory and assigned accounts for a broad range of technical products and services
  • Develop and maintain key relationships as you focus on high levels of Customer Service
  • Identify new business opportunities while utilising your knowledge, skills and experience to proactively address customer needs
  • Develop and execute an annual sales plan and provide ongoing Account Management
  • Educate Customers on offers, products, and services (e.g., including recurring and digital offers)
  • Provide key information to our Tender Teams in preparation of sales quotations and bid proposals
  • Focus on sales/pipeline forecasts and account planning in line with key reporting milestones
  • Enjoy a culture that will recognise your efforts and invest in your development

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven Technical Sales background coupled with experience in a similar position (Account Manager or Business Development Manager), ideally within IT or Electrical markets
  • A consultative style and experience selling to a diverse range of Customers
  • True growth mindset coupled with the curiosity to learn and the desire to make an Impact
  • A digital mindset with proven skills in MS Office and previous experience in utilising a CRM
  • Those with knowledge of Schneider Electric Offers, an Electrical Trade or Engineering background will be viewed favourably
