The Business Development Manager - Rental (NQLD) is responsible for securing new and the growth of major Rental accounts throughout the Northern Queensland region, ensuring optimal sales to increase market share for the rental hire business. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to hit the ground running, ready to meet the changing needs of our customers' whilst being a trusted partner in providing tailored rental, transport, and mobility solutions and supporting our existing rental branches. This role will be based at our Townsville (Garbutt) Rental Branch office, with a requirement to travel periodically throughout the sales territory.
The role:
Reporting to the National Manager - Major Customers, you will be required to:
- Identify new and account manage existing relationships with Major Rental Account customers to proactively identify rental solutions for their business, the management of customer growth, retention and promotion of ORIX products / services and ongoing review of accounts.
- Work with Rental Branches and Agencies in responding to rental sales quotations and tenders to position the growth opportunities for all Major Account Customers.
- Develop a knowledge of ORIX's rental and flexible leasing products, working with Asset Risk, Credit Risk and Commercial support teams to ensure customers satisfy ORIX's financial requirements across the business units and company.,
- Working with internal key stakeholders to fulfill rental agreements, and regular activity reporting on the Major Account customer activities to the National Rental and Mobility and Senior Leadership Team.
The successful applicant will possess:
- High level of communication, negotiation and solution selling skills to form good relationships with our customers.
- Experienced in sales, preferably within the rental hire, transport, infrastructure, or mining industries (however, this is not essential).
- An autonomous can-do attitude to build and maintain strong team working relationships both internally and externally.
- Possess a good understanding of one or more from passenger, light or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Strong time management skills, ability to juggle multiple customer demands and good computer skills. We use Microsoft Suite and proprietary systems.
