As a Business Development Manager you will use a highly developed Systems and Analytical Products knowledge and sales pursuit skills to manage, promote and grow the Measurement Solutions Systems and Analytical Products portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Research and analyze systems and analytical products opportunities, keep abreast of any changes to the market, competitors, technology, and the industry in general and develop new applications to capture market opportunities.
  • Establish goals in areas such as mix, volume, market share and budgets. Periodically report to ANZ/AP leaders during budgeting and POR.
  • Develop, adjust strategies, and plans to meet changing market/competitive situations and lead implementation in the region. Review, evaluate and report on results.
  • Conduct and assist with advertising and marketing events, internal and external training, and industry events/road shows.
  • Coach and develop pursuit best practices skill set & methodology in the MSOL sales force.

  • Participate and be an active leader for Measurement Solutions and Emerson for critical initiatives, strategic pursuits and to drive business excellence.
  • To seek out and act on other business opportunities across the entire Emerson range.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing customers. Provide a high level of face-to-face customer contact and to a lesser extent, phone, and email response.
  • Actively pursue opportunities throughout ANZ (both indirectly and directly) and be available to impart knowledge to senior decision makers in a one-on-one or presentation formats.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Tertiary or trade qualified in an engineering related discipline &/or relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of the technical aspects of the products & business.
  • Sales, Sales Management or Product Management experience
  • Project pursuit experience, specifically the ability to engage early & work collaboratively in defining solutions & engagement with EPC’s, End Users & Main Instrument Vendor & Main Automation contractor programs.
  • Experience with field installations, local engineering & integrator suppliers
  • Experience & understanding of sales budgeting process, forecasting & financial reporting
