Job DescriptionAre you a experienced BDM looking to push the boundaries of SME Lending? Do you thrive on building new business whilst building rapport with customers? In this role you will use your highly developed relationship skills to increase revenue and take overall ownership to generate and convert new business opportunities, deliver Commercial Finance solutions, build new and enhance existing networks.You will provide a strong point of difference with our products to our customers that continues to put us ahead of our competitors.You will work closely with internal teams to ensure our customers are at the forefront of everything. You will also be involved in building our brand through trade events and actively participate in networking and presenting within the Finance sector.
QualificationsHow you will make a difference
- Facilitate the distribution of Shift’s products into large corporate and enterprise level customers by building relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business objectives and identifying appropriate solutions to drive their success.
- Prospect and develop business by establishing and growing your network across a range of target industries.
- Take ownership over your activities to meet or exceed agreed targets.
- Work with the Broker Sales team to capture opportunities – working with third party introducers as is appropriate.
- Work with the project onboarding team upon the acquisition of new clients to ensure product implementation and “rollouts” are successful.
- Consider opportunities from both a sales and risk perspective – ensuring targeted outcomes align to broader business objectives.
Skills that set you apart
- 2 years + experience working in a Sales/BDM role within Finance
- Previous experience in a similar role delivering complex financial solutions – to corporate or enterprise/institutional level customers.
- Ability to self-start with a proven history of success in a consultative sale role dealing with sophisticated business clients.
- Ability to understand the financial risks and levers of a business – particularly in relation to factors that influence working capital.
- Prior experience in a credit advantageous but not essential.
