New Business Development Manager - High Base + $100K + OTE

Ideal Location: Sydney or Melbourne

Position Overview:

We are seeking an ambitious New Business Development Manager to join our team and spearhead our fast-growing Australian market, therefore travel will be required. This person will play an integral part within our new business sales team, tasked with driving new revenue growth. Our target markets are Logistics, Warehousing, Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail and Insurance companies.

This position will report to the COO and will be a remote based position with travel.

Key Functions:

Responsible for closing new accounts within our key vertical markets Retail, Distribution, Warehousing, Logistics, Manufacturing and Insurance companies.

As a Business Development Manager, you'll need to:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Achieve quarterly and yearly sales Targets
  • Work to drive and develop your sales pipeline.
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone.
  • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.
  • Understand the needs of your prospects and using your persuasive skills to convince them to invest in our solution.
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates.
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
  • Help to plan sales campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE A MINIMUM of 5 successful years of SaaS sales experience.
  • MUST HAVE experience of selling into one of the following sectors Retail, Logistics, Distribution, Warehousing and Insurance companies.
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare sector would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Health & Safety and Workplace Injuries sector would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of the workers' compensation sector would be preferred.
  • Consistent record of achievement.
  • Proven ability to manage full pipeline and close multiple enterprise deals.
  • Experience following defined sales processes, tracking and accurately forecasting accounts via our CRM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation experience.
  • Experience with negotiations and contracting is crucial.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent listening skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.
  • Good sense of humour and loves working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferable.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to identify and assess customer needs and craft compelling solutions.
  • Strong talent for multitasking, managing competing priorities effectively and delivering on strict timelines.
  • Highly organized and attentive to details.
