About you:
In your new role you will…
- Demonstrate and proven skills in business management of a complex and multi-disciplinary organisation at a senior level, including financial reporting and business case development.
- Demonstrate ability in the application of a high level of discipline and detailed knowledge of accounting and financial principles and the development and management of budgets, including independent judgement in the allocation of resources.
- Demonstrate ability in the use, analysis and interpretation of data to meet reporting, costing and other management information needs and the ability to identify and provide advice of effective solutions to complex problems in a diverse environment.
- Highly developed negotiation, consultation and interpersonal skills and experience with proven ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with internal and external clients and key stakeholders, in a complex multidisciplinary environment.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will provide high-level business management, support and advice in the delivery of quality, cost effective services that are consistent with the strategic and operational directions of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) for:
Directorate of Intensive Care, Women's and Perioperative
Director of Allied Health (CHHHS wide)
Cairns Hospital Management
Director of Business Improvement and Support Services.
About your role:
- Develop and implement health care service delivery in line with the Directorates strategic vision and objectives. Work collaboratively with clinical leaders to ensure quality service delivery.
- Support the Director and Clinical leads to provide effective leadership, governance and performance across the Directorates.
- Develop budget, allocate resources against service plans and manage budgets in line with agreed activity levels.
- Oversee the implementation, monitoring and analysing of financial information and report outcomes against performance objectives, benchmarks and business plans. This includes the development and submission of reports and the provision of recommendations when performance variations occur in areas such as financial and clinical activity, key performance indicators, quality activities and health outcomes.
- Develop, implement and maintain appropriate management information and reporting systems to ensure that timely, accurate and accountable reports are available for Directorate and HHS planning in decision making processes.
