About us
Flow Health and Cardiac Diagnostics is looking for an experienced Practice/Business manager to lead our wonderful team of admin and clinical staff and continue to grow our practice that offers Cardiology and Endocrinology specialist services and Cardiac Testing. Our team is cohesive and motivated offering a supportive and rewarding working environment. You will be supported by a 2IC to allow you to focus on the “Big Picture” rather than the day to day. Our team consists of 4 Cardiologists, 2 Endocrinologists and a Neurologist. And an admin team of 4 plus the Practice Manager.
About you
We are seeking a true practice manager. Used to having staff directly report to them, and willing to pro-actively manage our practice. The approved candidate will be provided an attractive salary, and a great team to work with. We are negotiable on a full time contract or 9 day fortnight, or 1 day off per 4 week cycle.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous business or practice management experience preferably in the medical industry is essential.
- The ability to display initiative and leadership.
- Knowledge of medical administration and word processing software (Clinic to Cloud is an advantage).
- Exceptional personal presentation, communication, and time management attributes.
- Strong understanding of Medicare and DVA billing as well as inpatient/Eclipse billing. Including handling rejections from Medicare and Health Funds.
- Ability to review and implement systems to improve operational efficiency.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Daily Operations Management: The Practice Manager ensures the smooth functioning of the practice by overseeing day-to-day operations in conjunction with our 2IC. This includes managing patient scheduling, registration, and billing processes, staff rostering and leave cover.
- Policy and Procedure Development: They develop and implement office policies and procedures to maintain efficiency and compliance within the practice. Compliance with and regular review of Accreditation requirements. Inclusive of staff training and monitoring of CPR certificates etc
- Financial Management: Handling the financial aspects of the practice is essential. This includes budgeting, payroll, accounting, and ensuring financial stability.
- Staff Recruitment and Supervision: The Practice Manager recruits, hires, trains, and supervises office staff. They ensure that the team is well-equipped to provide excellent service to patients and annually conducts performance appraisals.
- Front Desk and Administration: Overseeing front desk activities, procedures and policies related to appointments, fees, liaising with patients, and handling payments.
- Orientation of New Employees: The Practice Manager ensures that all new employees receive effective orientation to their roles and responsibilities.
- Stock Management: Monitoring and ordering stock for the practice is crucial to maintain supplies and equipment.
- IT Competence: Being competent with managing day to day IT issues with the assistance of our off-site IT team.
- Quality Improvement/Safety: Maintaining the Quality Improvement register and activities as well as management of patient complaints.
