About the role
We’re on the lookout for a highly motivated Business Sales Consultant - Retention to join our Natural Gas and Electricity (NG&E) Sales Team. You will contribute to the Kleenheat business objectives by managing a portfolio of business customers to achieve retention sales targets, and grow the business.
The role is currently based in our Murdoch office, with on-site parking or walking distance to the train station, performed Monday to Friday on a permanent full-time basis. We will also provide you with all the necessary training and flexibility to fit in with work life balance – “letting your life flow”.
Have you heard the exciting news? Our Murdoch office will be relocating to Perth CBD in late 2025. You will have easy access to public transport, various dining, and retail options.
In this varied and interesting role, you will:
  • Managing a portfolio of natural gas and electricity customers, throughout the lifecycle of their energy contract
  • Negotiating commercial contract terms and price to achieve a desirable sales outcome
  • Identify cross-sell and B2B acquisition opportunities to support new business growth
  • Displaying commercial acumen through strategic planning of the assigned business customer portfolio, identifying risk and opportunities and keeping abreast of industry and market conditions, to achieve Kleenheat objectives
  • Developing a working understanding of pricing principles that impact the profitability of offers
  • Accurately prepare and present contract documents and client proposals
  • Ensure all communication with customers is managed effectively and recorded in centralised customer data repository
To excel in this role, you have:
  • Excellent articulation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, flexibility and the ability to be an outstanding team member.
  • Ability to show enthusiasm, passion and a desire to achieve goals with a customer centric focus.
  • Previous experience in a sales, service or customer operations, particularly in a B2B sales environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using a structured sales process to managing negotiations and contract renewals to achieve sales targets in an intensely competitive environment.
  • Relevant industry experience – preferably within the energy industry (or related utilities/telco/insurance industries who have similar market dynamics, regulatory focus and or competitiveness) and demonstrable experience in acquiring technical knowledge or new industries.
