Business Services Manager

Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with a boutique advisory firm who are seeking a Business Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the dynamic and forward-thinking team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to their expanding client base while assisting in managing client relationships and implementing strategic tax planning solutions.

Additionally, you will oversee and mentor junior staff, manage workflow, and collaborate closely with our Directors.

What you do:

• Provide high-quality service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
• Manage client relationships and identify tax planning strategies.
• Assist in checking and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Collaborate with 2-3 Accountants, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Work closely with Directors on various projects.
• Handle Debtor and Client WIP management.
• Prepare tax advice for complex matters like deceased estates, re-structures, Div7A, Capital Gains Tax, etc.
• Build and manage your own client portfolio, interacting with the team as needed.
• Provide advisory and management accounting services.
• Prepare Financials & Tax Returns for various entities including Company, Trusts, SMSF’s, etc.

What you need :

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in an Australian CA or CPA firm as a Senior Accountant or Junior Manager.
• CA (preferred) or CPA qualified.
• Experience with large and complex clients, strong technical skills.
• Familiarity with Div7a, small business CGT concessions, CGT re-structure rollovers, mergers and acquisitions, property developers is desirable.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, self-directed, able to take ownership of tasks.
• Experience with Xero/XPM software is desirable.
