About the Role:
As a Business Support Officer – Training and Development, your role will involve:
- Creating training documents and booklets using computer programs in accordance with the needs of the relevant departments to ensure course information is accurate and relevant.
- Regularly review and update organisational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in designing worker progression plans and designing training to progress workers when required.
- Ensure workers complete training.
- Work alongside other Enabling Pathways Business Supports to foster a cohesive and integrated approach to organisational support.
- Maintaining and making additions to existing learning content to increase engagement and accuracy.
- Actively contribute to ongoing improvement of governance processes, identifying areas for enhancement and proposing solutions.
- Creating and performing inductions and induction presentations.
- Creation of performance reviews for all roles.
- Support in the establishment of performance measures.
- Designing training schedules and seminars to assist in the rollout of new systems.
- Delivering training material as needed.
- Monitor and assess the organisation's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of systems to ensure that any training delivered in these systems is accurate.
- Assist in WH&S training by creating E-Learning courses, documents, and delivering inductions/training sessions.
- Encourage worker engagement by creating surveys, celebrating birthdays and other milestones, and organising other celebrations such as Christmas and holidays.
- Utilise the Visio software to design processes and consistently review and ensure they are up to date. Ensure that updated processes are reflected on Employment Hero and all other relevant company software platforms, using appropriate channels to effectively communicate these changes.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on governance and compliance matters to relevant stakeholders. Including, generating and delivering comprehensive monthly reports on learning initiatives and employee engagement for department managers.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the relevant policies.
Skills & experience:
- Experience in administrative roles.
- Experience in training and development roles.
- Experience in or a willingness to improve presentation, speaking, and communication skills.
- Good technological skills; able to adapt to new technologies and systems quickly and easily.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office, Employment Hero and Canva advantageous.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate) or VISA if applicable.
- Current QLD Open Driver's License.
- Must hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
- NDIS Workers Screening Yellow Card.
- Hold a current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate.
- A clean National Police check less than 6 months old.
- Completed NDIS Orientation Module.
- Ability to communicate effectively Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including working and communicating effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
- Ability to work in a busy environment, both independently and as a part of a team.
- Comply with & understand all privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Cultural awareness of all backgrounds.
