RPS has an exciting full-time opportunity available for an experienced Business Support Officer (BSO) to join our Advisory team based in Sydney or Melbourne. This position is responsible for providing high level Business Support, including project and proposal setup, administration, invoicing and controls; and tracking and reporting for Advisory Division projects and staff based across Australia.
Further the position will support the on-going development and implementation of standardised and enhanced business processes to aid the effective and efficient operation of the Advisory Division; and the position will provide general Business Support on an ad-hoc basis to help manage peaks in workloads as and when required.
Key responsibilities:
- Works with project managers and team members to effectively and efficiently administer and control projects from proposal stage, through establishment, delivery, and close-out.
- Facilitates the timely preparation, approval and issuing of invoices, reports, claims and other submissions.
- Liaises with RPS Finance team to support proper and timely management of projects.
- Supports monthly project performance reviews, analysis, and reconciliations.
- Contributes to the development, implementation and operation of new systems and processes to aid the effective and efficient operation of the Advisory Division.
- Assists with preparing weekly and monthly reporting for the Advisory Division and associated Business Units.
- Undertakes other duties as directed.
- Bringing an eye for quality and accuracy, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise competing demands, you will have excellent communication skills, the ability to form relationships with a wide variety of people and be experienced working across all levels of an organisation.
Experience & Qualifications required
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar project support or accounts support position.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high quality presentation, reports and submissions.
- Ideally have experience in supporting teams in the setup, tracking, reporting, invoicing and forecasting of projects and proposals
- Intermediate commercial skills with supplier, invoice and contract management.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite, data base and financial management systems.
- Strong client focused approach.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded.
