Testo a market leader in the field of portable instrumentation is a rapidly growing German subsidiary located in Croydon South and is well established in the Food and Pharma, Thermal Imaging, emission and HVACR markets. Testo also offers automated monitoring for Food and Pharma markets with after sales support and in house service and calibration services for all markets.

Responsibilities of this role 

  • Lead the overall strategic direction of the Business Unit aligning it with company goals and objectives
  • Track performance and identify areas for improvement by monitoring sales metrics and KPI's to achieve sales targets 
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue
  • Set clear sales goals and objectives for the team and provide guidance to achieve them
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and identify new business opportunities  using CRM Microsoft Dynamics
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges 
  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support and development opportunities
  • Actively participate in tendering processes
  • Attend trade shows and  participate in the promotion of products as required
  • Regularly report on Business Unit performance, highlighting achievements, challenges and areas for improvement to senior management
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems together with your team. 

Skills needed for role

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in managing a Business Unit or comparable position in a related industry
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and implement business strategies
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in employee development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and derive recommendations
  • Experience in dealing with customers and building business relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills 
  • Good computer skills - experience in Microsoft 365/CRM and SAP or similar an advantage
  • High resilience and results orientation
