Responsibilities of this role
- Lead the overall strategic direction of the Business Unit aligning it with company goals and objectives
- Track performance and identify areas for improvement by monitoring sales metrics and KPI's to achieve sales targets
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue
- Set clear sales goals and objectives for the team and provide guidance to achieve them
- Build and maintain customer relationships and identify new business opportunities using CRM Microsoft Dynamics
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support and development opportunities
- Actively participate in tendering processes
- Attend trade shows and participate in the promotion of products as required
- Regularly report on Business Unit performance, highlighting achievements, challenges and areas for improvement to senior management
- Investigate and resolve customer problems together with your team.
Skills needed for role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field, MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience in managing a Business Unit or comparable position in a related industry
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and implement business strategies
- Excellent leadership skills and experience in employee development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and derive recommendations
- Experience in dealing with customers and building business relationships
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Good computer skills - experience in Microsoft 365/CRM and SAP or similar an advantage
- High resilience and results orientation
