THE POSITION
The primary purpose of this position is to provide event and technical support for any external hire and use of Colleges’ venues. The position will be the onsite contact outside of college hours, including nights and weekends.
All staff are appointed by the CEO & Executive Principal of MBC and MBBC, and they are responsible to the Chief Operating Officer for the overall performance of their duties.
The Events and Production Coordinator reports directly to the Property & Facilities Manager.
All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of these Uniting Church day schools.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Assist in the coordination and logistics for events booked via external clients.
- Manage event day logistics and attend events as required;
- Technical and production for events booked across the college venues;
- Communicate with clients to assist in producing timelines, run sheets, set up and furniture requirements;
- Other duties and special projects as directed by the Property and Facilities Manager.
- Responsibility for pre-production, set-up, Audio and lighting, presentation, and post-event pack down.
- Actively contribute to a safety citizenship culture upholding health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.
- Demonstrated experience in Venue and Event Management;
- Ability to set up and operate basic audio and Concert lighting systems;
- AV experience;
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude and strong work ethic;
- Strong organisational skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Positive Blue Card, or ability to obtain, is mandatory;
- Transport for travel between MBC and MBBC - You will be required to work at both campuses – Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys’ College;
