We are looking for a highly motivated receptionist to join our Specialist Gynaecology Practice in a casual position.
We are an established specialist practice in Campbelltown seeking to appoint an experienced Medical Receptionist on a casual basis for between 10 -15 hours per week.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a job share role within a medical environment, and understands the importance of working collaboratively as part of a team.
You are proactive, detail oriented and enjoy a challenge, and you are happy to offer support to your colleagues by covering extra shifts during holidays and busier times.
Your days will involve working as as part of a team mainly managing the front desk, customer service and administrative tasks, booking appointments, general reception work, assisting the Practice Manager with back end administration work and assisting Doctors as needed, as well as sterilising instruments, so your ability to multi-task will be a valuable asset.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Experience in a Receptionist/Administrative role within a private medical practice
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Experience with medical billing and receipting
- Demonstrated attention to detail, with a very high level of accuracy when working with a range of computer systems and processes
- Competent user of programs within the Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess well developed and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Proactive, with an ability to problem solve and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and time management skills.
- Flexibility to cover extra shifts when needed
- High standard of personal presentation
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a specialist Gynaecology practice
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with Genie software
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of front desk reception
- Manage Admin emails
- Daily set up of clinical rooms
- Liaising with hospitals and other medical practices
- Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
- Managing phone calls courteously and professionally
- Invoicing patients
- Working daily with Electronic Medical Records
- Scheduling appointments and patient billing
- Liaising with doctors, staff and allied health professionals
- Managing internal external correspondence and administrative daily tasks
- Assist doctors when required
