The Role:
Are you a morning person you has a passion for everything breakfast? You think your pancakes are the best and you make a show stopping benedict?
Based on site in the Melbourne CBD, the Chef De Partie Breakfast is a vital role within the Centric Culinary team.
The Chef De Partie Breakfast will be required to run and understand all aspects of a busy breakfast kitchen including daily specials and seasonal delights for our guests..
Hotel experience is very much preferred while also not necessary depending on the candidates competence. If not a hotel then must have experience in a busy, popular all day breakfast/brunch environment
The responsibilities are not limited to:
- Breakfast service & production for buffet and a la carte
- The creation of seasonal ALC & buffet breakfast offerings in line with the hotels philosophy.
- Set, clear and reset designated working area and section
- Maintain a positive relationship between both back of house and front of house
- Follow all prescribed hotel policies and food safety standards
- Monitor and maintain the quality and quantity of all dishes to be served
About you:
- 4+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced high end restaurant or hotel specializing in pastry
- Experience in busy hotel breakfast or upmarket all day breakfast/brunch restaurant or cafe
- Certificate IV Commercial Cookery or higher (depending on candidates work experience)
- Great organizational and leadership skills with the ability to train junior staff and run all sections of the kitchen
- Ability to work on a flexible roster (early mornings)
- Effective communication skills and a team player
