Chef de Partie

Marubang Korean Noodle & Pork is a well-established Korean Restaurant in the heart of Northbridge.

We are proudly offering extraordinary experiences to our guests by providing traditional Korean dishes based on our own recipes. Marubang is a 2-storey restaurant that serves Korean BBQ on the first floor and Korean traditional dishes on the ground floor. We are open 6 days a week for dinner service. (Lunch Service on Saturdays only)

Marubang is currently seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. 

Title of the Position : Chef de Partie / Full-time (38 hr/wk)

Location : Marubang Korean Noodle & Pork – 318 William Street, Perth, WA, 6000 (Northbridge)

The successful candidate needs to have :

- Relevant qualifications (Certificate III-IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management + Diploma of Hospitality Management or Equivalent)

- At least 3 years kitchen experience as a chef

- Passion for cooking and learning new things

- Professional knowledge in cooking method, task organization, kitchen management (stock ordering, recruiting, rostering, etc.)

- Flexibility in working hours (including weekends and public holidays)

- Ability to manage sections in charge and lead/train new kitchen staffs/junior chefs

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced working environment

- A strong eye for detail

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

If you commence work with us, you will be :

- responsible for cooking, ensuring food standards/preparation/presentation, standard of hygiene, menu creating and daily Mise en Place

- Responsible for managing/training junior members of the kitchen

- Responsible for stock ordering and basic paperwork

- Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant OH&S including HACCP

- Responsible for maintenance of the kitchen equipment

We offer annual salary of $72,000 plus super but salary is negotiable depending on experience.
