Blackstone Legal Costing is one of Australia’s largest legal costing firms with a national presence. An opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Melbourne team as a part-time Client Services Coordinator (Settlements).
This part-time role will be 20 hours per week, with Monday being a core day (other days and times negotiable).

The RoleWhilst a large portion of this role involves debt collection, this position is guaranteed to be varied and interesting and your responsibilities will include:
- Debt collection including sending out monthly account statements to clients, identify chase up for month and breakdown by week, liaising with CFO and external debt recovery agencies, and identifying and processing any write-off requests;
- Client liaison including monitoring and answering client queries, preparing and sending settlement letters, building effective stakeholder relationships to improve debt collection outcomes;
- Reporting including preparing weekly cash report, monthly aged debtor report, and monthly client reports as required;
- Invoicing including identifying and rectifying issues with invoices, creating and updating fee schedules;
- File maintenance including updating client details on our database and maintaining a paper trail regarding debt collection;
- Assisting our internal accountant,during their absence, with accounts receivable duties such as receiving and processing EFT payments, processing credit card payments over the phone, and banking where required; and
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience / qualities:
- Previous experience in debt collection or recovery (if experience is within the legal sector, it will be very highly regarded);
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Motivated and results-driven when it comes to meeting KPIs;
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently and within a team; and
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
