Job description

Energy-Tec is seeking a motivated individual to join ourClient Services Team, in a full time or part time (school hours) capacity. This role will involve working in a team committed to maintaining the efficiency and productivity of Energy-Tec’s core energy metering and billing services in line with the company’s service commitments, culture and values.

For over 30 years, Energy-Tec has been the industry leader in end-to-end energy and sub-metering solutions.

Energy-Tec is WA’s largest Embedded Network service provider, servicing thousands of commercial buildings, office towers, retail shopping centres, airports, universities, strata residential and retirement living homes. Our services play a critical role in helping clients to allocate, bill and recover revenue from property utility costs.

What We Do

Energy-Tec makes sense of a buildings intricate energy consumption to make the asset owner money. This is generated through the implementation of smart metering, (advanced metering infrastructure – AMI); occupant/tenant billing; obtaining more competitive pricing for retail energy accounts (procurement), and adding renewable energy solutions (distributed energy resources – DER) to buildings.

Our in-house software, specifically designed to support the Australian national energy market, allows us to provide our clients with simplified metering data in a fluid, transparent manner, offering greater reporting options and the capability of generating analytical reports.

Your Role

This role is an entry level, data processing position providing support and assistance in the day to day functions of Energy-Tec’s report generation services and serves as the frontline of client communication, advisory and assistance.

You will be responsible for the daily auditing of electricity, gas and water meter readings ensuring timely delivery of accurate meter reading data, utility reconciliation, bill generation and reporting services to our clients. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Mandatory:

• Excellent time management & ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple tasks, maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Problem-solving skills – high degree of initiative and proven use of analytical thinking skills to identify and solve problems 

• High level standard of customer service, communication & organisational skills

• Able to develop and maintain relationships at a professional level with internal and external customers 


• Self-motivated and proactive - able to take ownership of an issue and follow through until resolved, including the ability to direct queries into channels appropriate to handle them

• Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks quickly and to work autonomously

• IT literate with good working knowledge of all relevant Microsoft Office applications

• Able to work interactively in a team and work well under pressure to meet service deliverables

• Ability to adapt to change
 

Desirable:

  • Experience working within the service industry preferably for an energy or electricity and/or property management company.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

This role will involve working in a team committed to providing a critical service to our clients, including but not limited to;

  • Delivering accurate meter reading data, utility reconciliation, billing generation, and reporting services in line with company standards
  • Utilising our in-house software system to generate reports in line with detailed work instructions
  • Answering and responding to client queries either by telephone or email
  • Administration duties as required
     

The role is office-based (with flexibility to work from home when required). All training will be provided in-house.
