We are seeking a Client Services Officer to deliver exceptional customer service in our Environmental laboratory. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch and effectively managing customer expectations.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Communicate directly with clients to resolve any sample receipt or logistics issues as required.
- Communicate effectively with the relevant section heads of impending samples for production
- Discuss result status and turnarounds with clients when required.
- Ensure all client requests are passed onto the relevant laboratory department e.g. bottle orders to sample administration.
- Assist the lab team during busy periods.
- Prepare Quotations where required and assist with preparing and sending Invoices.
- Assist with setting up client accounts.
- Report on client satisfaction to management.
- Assist management in process improvements.
- Assist management in promoting a safe working environment and report immediately on any unsafe work condition or equipment to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the section and to ensure the expected outputs are performed within budget.
Qualifications
- Scientific qualifications (Diploma or Tertiary) or extensive experience in laboratory environments
- Experience using a LIMS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
