You need to love customer service and be excellent at communications and problem solving. Importantly, you need to have great attention to details, be honest, proactive and willing to learn.
You don’t need to be an expert in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as software but if you’re fairly good at those, it would be an advantage. If you have experience working in allied health practices, it’s a bonus.
Our Front Desk team often swap shifts, you will enjoy that flexibility with this role; however, in exchange, it’s also very important that you’re flexible with swapping shifts or covering more shifts when someone isn’t available.
We’re looking for someone who can work at least the following shifts:
- Tuesdays : 1pm - 6:30pm
- Thursdays: 1pm - 7:15pm

ABOUT US
We’re a chiropractic clinic with over 40 years of history. Our team comprises 2 chiropractors, a clinic manager and 3 receptionists. We value teamwork and open communications. ABOUT THE ROLE
- Welcome patients arriving at the clinic.
- Record patients’ information according to the clinic’s procedures.
- Educate patients about different chiropractic procedures and apparatus when necessary.
- Appointment setting in person, on telephone or by email.
- Coordinate chiropractors’ schedules with patients’ appointments.
- Document and confirm insurance information from patients where necessary.
- Prepare patient files and enter reception notes into system.
- Run and maintain chiropractic office equipment.
- Support for insurance claims (DVA, Medicare, WorkCover)
- Provide assistance as needed to chiropractors during patients’ examination and evaluation.
- Guarantee proper filing and record handling procedures.
- Make sure safe storage of equipment and supplies.
- Handle patient data entry procedures according to the centre’s protocol.
- Handle patients’ accounts and financial information professionally.
- Send reminder texts and birthday texts to patients.
- Manage front desk collection obligations.
- Act as a middleman between chiropractor and patients by communicating information properly.
- Have a flexible growth mindset that we are always improving and looking to grow the business.
- Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for patients; this includes daily vacuuming, empty bins, water plants, cleaning, etc.
- Support marketing campaigns to help with patient retention and acquisition.
- Report to Office Manager for scheduling and internal issues.
