Our clinic has operations in two locations: Tugun, Gold Coast and Benowa, Gold Coast. While the primary location for this position is Tugun, occasional travel to Benowa may be necessary when needed.
About you:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis (4 to 5 days a week).
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Proficiency in computer skills and experience with medical software systems (e.g., Gentu)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.
- Ability to efficiently task shift and prioritise tasks in a fast-paces environment.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, always providing excellent customer service.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient enquiries and requests.
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and process necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulation.
- Coordinate with clinical staff and providers to endure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
- Assist with billing and insurance-related tasks, including processing payments and submitting claim to Medicare, DVA and other third-party insurers.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and maintaining office supplies.
- Using your creativity and experience to create more efficient medical processes and procedures.

- Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive patient information.
- Knowledge of Gentu Software (desirable)
- Current CPR certificate (desirable)
