The Clinical Director will oversee a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, doctors, and allied health professionals, setting clinical standards, developing treatment protocols, and fostering a culture of excellence in care. Working with the CEO, the Clinical Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical direction and ensuring the highest standards of quality and effectiveness in addiction treatment at Highlands Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the clinical team, setting strategic direction, goals, and objectives to advance the mission and vision of Highlands Health. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers team members to excel in their roles and achieve positive outcomes for clients.
- World class treatment program design & documentation: based on global best practice and evidence based research, design and document the Highlands health treatment program including initial client assessments, customised program building and guidelines for usage of different modalities of therapy and medical care for each individual client.
- Treatment Planning and Oversight: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols and interventions to address the complex needs of clients struggling with addiction. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans that integrate medical, psychological, and holistic approaches to recovery.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and ethical addiction treatment services. Conduct regular audits, reviews, and evaluations to assess clinical performance, adherence to best practices, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Staff Management & Development: Recruit, train, and supervise clinical staff, including psychologists, doctors, therapists, and allied health professionals. Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff competency and promote continuous learning and growth.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including hospitality, operations, and administration, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of services. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and communication to provide holistic and comprehensive care to clients.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest international research, trends, and innovations in addiction treatment and behavioural health care. Lead efforts to incorporate new evidence-based practices, therapies, and technologies into clinical programs to enhance treatment effectiveness and client outcomes.
- Client Advocacy: Serve as a strong advocate for clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met throughout the treatment process. Champion a client-centred approach that prioritizes empowerment, dignity, and respect for individual autonomy and choice.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or a related field.
- Current licensure or certification as a psychologist, psychiatrist, or clinical social worker.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in addiction treatment and behavioural health care.
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based addiction treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, and medication-assisted treatment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity, compassion, and accountability.
