Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program

About the OPPORTUNITY
As a Clinical Nurse - Community Health you will be responsible for the identification of health needs in the community and the planning, implementation, evaluation and review of health programs in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager. You will manage, coordinate and deliver competent nursing care for clients/patients using leadership and advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the practice setting with a Primary Health Care Philosophy.
The town of Kambalda is 60km south of Kalgoorlie-Boulders and is separated into two distinctive town sites, East Kambalda and West Kambalda.
Kambalda Health Centre is located in Kambalda West and provides local health services to the residents of both Kambalda East and Kambalda West.
Health services provided are:
- Outpatients
- Palliative Care
- School Health
- Telehealth
- Others services are provided by visiting WACHS Goldfields staff
- A private Medical Practice provides GP services
- Aboriginal Health
- Child Health
- Chronic Disease
- Ear Health
- Emergency
- Health Promotion
- Immunisation

About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Evidence of significant recent post graduate nursing experience with demonstrated advanced nursing knowledge and skill in an emergency setting and/or primary health care.
- Understanding of the principles of Primary Health Care, the Family Partnership approach, client focused care and the application to practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and other ethnic cultural issues and the impact on client’s health in a rural environment.
