About the opportunity
NSW Health Pathology currently has an opportunity available for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 2) with postgraduate Haematology nursing experience to work with the Haematology and Cancer Services teams at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital on a temporary full time basis.
This position is based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in the Haematology Department.

This position will facilitate the continuity and quality of care for patients with Leukaemia and Myeloid disorders through expert knowledge and experience in the coordination of clinical management. The position will support education, research, clinical practice and quality improvement.

Apply now by addressing the following questions: * Current registration as a Registered Nurse (General Registration) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in Haematology/Oncology
- Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to Haematology/Oncology or experience deemed appropriate
- Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients, and clinical staff
- Extensive understanding of Haematologic disorders and their current management and evidence of relevant clinical research experience, as well as extensive knowledge of good clinical practice, policies and procedure
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes with the capacity to adopt and model the NSWHP RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence
- Computer skills including word processing, presentation, spread sheet applications and clinical information systems

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases. All recruits must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. All recruits must provide evidence against specified diseases and comply with the requirements of this policy at their own cost prior to appointment.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
