Commercial Manager

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for all front end commercial and contract management reviews and assessment for all new and major renewal opportunities. This key role sits within Ventia's Infrastructure Services team, Pre-Contracts. A full-time permanent role based on the East Coast with flexible working from home arrangements available.

Key Duties

• Review tender documentation and contracts
• Review & prepare any NDA's including internal approval requirements
• Review tender pricing with estimators and bid team
• Prepare commercial assessments of opportunities against business-critical risks and commercial limits
• Prepare and review relevant Gate approval documentation
• Work closely with legal, treasury and finance teams
• Facilitate commercial workshops with each line of business to identify operational and commercial risks against opportunities
• Actively support the business in developing win strategies
• Provide expert commercial advice and support to lines of business through the precontracts phase

Skills and Experience

• Legal, Business, Construction, Management degree or relevant tertiary qualifications
• 10+ years' experience in contract and or commercial management roles
• Experience working in Utilities / Telco/ civil construction industry highly desirable
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar contracts / projects
• Proven track record in successfully delivering commercial outcomes
• Experienced in risk management
• Proven ability to multi-task on multiple simultaneous projects
• Strong verbal and written communicator
