Role:
Our Client is seeking a Communication and Events Officer to support the planning and delivery of a diverse program of academic events and engagement activities in a temporary capacity for 3 days per week until December, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the facility’s program of events and engagement activities, ensuring compliant records of event plans and associated documents are held.
- Coordinate the School’s events applications and approval processes, working closely with the Faculty Events Coordinator, Arts Engagement team, and other colleagues to ensure alignment with Faculty and University processes.
- Work with academic event organisers to provide comprehensive event management and delivery support as required.
- Working with the Faculty Events Coordinator and the Arts Engagement and Partnerships team, develop, communicate and maintain School-level guides, tools and other documentation to support the delivery of high-quality events and other engagement activities.
- Prepare professional internal and external-facing communications, and maintain the School’s Intranet and Internet sites, ensuring that content is up-to-date and appropriate.
- Provide administrative support to relevant events, engagement, and partnership committees.
- Prepare reports on event planning, delivery, and performance.
Experience:
- Experience managing or coordinating in-person and virtual events involving a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using event management systems and platforms; e.g. Eventbrite, Cvent, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and identify event-related risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
