The Kypreos Group established in 1970 is one of the largest family-owned construction businesses in NSW. The Group encompasses our asphalt production, asphalt and spray seal contracting services, traffic control and civil construction divisions allowing the Group to deliver end to end civil engineering and road infrastructure projects.
We are seeking an experienced and creative Communications Officer to help manage our internal and external communications to help drive Group strategy and manage the Group branding.
This is a newly created role based out of our Head Office in Prestons reporting to the Group Business Development Manager. The role is a permanent full-time role offering the right candidate a diverse and dynamic role with the opportunity to work across various operations within the Group.
The role includes:
- Fulltime or Part Time Opportunity.
- Helping to implement internal and external communications strategies and projects.
- Manage the Group’s company websites, social media platforms, branding, and external content creation to manage the Group brand.
- Produce the Group’s quarterly newsletter.
- Assist in planning and co-ordinating internal and external events.
- Understanding of relationships with external stakeholders including engaging new partnerships with industry, potential talent pools and community programs.
- Manage our internal communications with staff to promote cross-functional relationships and drive a positive and dynamic culture across the business.
- Attendance at industry events to represent the Group and build relationships with industry and community stakeholders.
- Provide support to the communications team and help implement media and communications activity.
- Supporting communications measurement and reporting processes.
- Social media community management and engagement.
- Administration support and help to coordinate internal communications activities.
- Working across a broad range of tasks to support the wider team, prioritising the workload to ensure key deadlines are met.
- Providing general communications support.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- One year of experience in a similar role but not essential.
- Completing a certificate or degree of Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt style and content to suit different audiences.
- Highly organised, excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated project planning and time management skills.
- Proficient in designing digital content and use of social media, graphics, and desktop publishing software such as WordPress, Google Analytics, Canva, InDesign, Photoshop etc as well as advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work within a team environment to collaborate with multiple stakeholders as well as the discipline to work autonomously to achieve deadlines.
