About the Opportunity
Working between Perth Head Office and site, an opportunity exists to join our team in the role of Community & Social Performance Superintendent. In this full-time role you will manage collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, pastoralists, and regional towns, to establish mutually beneficial partnerships that support Westgold's long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing mutually beneficial relationships through positive engagement and communication with people and communities
- Working with regional communities to develop employment and training programs
- Identify and enhance employment opportunities within Westgold for local community stakeholders
- Coordinate heritage surveys and engagement activities with local communities
- Provide leadership, mentoring and support to Westgold's Aboriginal employees
- Actively contribute to strategy development that creates value for Westgold and our stakeholders
What do I need?
- A passion for achieving positive outcomes for regional communities
- 8+ years' working in mining and/or government industries
- Previous experience working with Aboriginal peoples in skill development roles, preferably within the mining sector
- Tertiary experience in Social Sciences, Indigenous Studies or relevant field (desirable)
- Valid C Class manual drivers' licence
