About the role:

We are seeking an organised and friendly Community Transport Officer to work on a permanent part-time basis of 38 hours per fortnight. This role is responsible for ensuring client needs are met through the operation of an efficient booking system and maintenance of transport lists. Organising vehicles and facilitating their ongoing maintenance to deliver Community Transport services is also key component of this position. Although primarily an office-based role, the successful applicant must have the ability to drive cars and small buses to convey clients to community programs and other associated appointments, and have a willingness to keep the vehicles clean, tidy and presentable at all times.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the provision of a safe, clean, efficient and effective Community Transport service.
  • Responsible for answering calls, the taking and scheduling of transport booking requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Responsible for the creation of daily and future vehicle run sheets and the modification of vehicle runs as required.
  • Responsible for communication with volunteer drivers throughout their shifts regarding updates to their runs.
  • Undertake driving duties as required.
  • Undertake cash management transactions according to current procedures.
  • Undertake cleaning and detailing of vehicles as and when required.
  • Responsible for providing accurate information to internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Current NDIS Clearance, or willingness to obtain as part of the recruitment process
  • A ‘C’ Class driver’s licence or above
  • A satisfactory National Police Certificate
  • A friendly disposition
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Experience and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office

The salary for this position will be from $61,493.96 - $65,944.86 per annum pro rata, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
