Parental Leave Contract - February to November 2024

The Position
We are seeking a skilled Coordinator with exceptional administration, an eye for detail and experience in organising meetings and Events to join our busy team to cover parental leave. The position is responsible for coordinating a number of competitions across a range of categories up to and during the Perth Royal Show in September 2024.

RASWA is a not-for-profit member-based organisation with a core purpose to promote Western Australia’s agriculture and produce. RASWA has played an important role in WA for more than 190 years and is firmly focused on the future with a new strategy and a number of exciting changes planned.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of the Competitions, Events and Education team, this role co-ordinates and manages competitions including Cattle, Woodchop and domestic animal categories. Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to Committees including organising meetings, preparation of papers, minute taking and executing actions;
- Coordinating the logistical requirements for each competition including set up and equipment supplies;
- Providing all detail and documentation for entrants and collating entry detail for judging;
- Produce all Competition Catalogues and Schedules;
- Manage competition entries, results and prizes;
- Developing and overseeing display, and resource material;
- Organising judges and stewards and ensuring volunteers are sourced during Perth Royal Show week.
What You Need
Successful candidates will have experience and knowledge of managing events, functions and logistics and be able to demonstrate:
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- A team focus
- Exceptional planning and organising skills of self and others
- Sound Microsoft 365 skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects at any one time
- Attention to detail
Agricultural experience would be highly regarded.
It is envisaged that the role would commence on three days per week, moving to full-time in August and through Perth Royal Show and then returning to three days until November with the possibility to extend.
