About the Role:
As a Complex Projects Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the design and development of large-scale, multi-site projects and complex customer gas installations. Working closely with the Sales and Customer Solutions teams across Australia, you will ensure the successful delivery of projects while developing efficient workflows and processes. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and fostering a culture of safety among employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project managing capital expenditure projects ranging from $100k to $1.5m
- Preparing quotations for new one-off complex gas installations
- Managing and overseeing the construction of installations based on operational demands
- Conducting audits and ensuring compliance of contractors, internal labour, and completed work
- Managing contractors and Origin resources throughout the installation process
- Ensuring project deadlines, budgets, and safety standards are met
- Providing post-action reports on installations to identify and mitigate issues
- Managing and overseeing the construction of larger, more complex installations
- Strong leadership, management, and people management skills
- Cert IV or Diploma in Gas fitting - type A & B authorisation or ability to obtain
- Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices
- Experience in gas operations and production management in a heavy industrial environment, including strategic planning and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and reporting skills, with proficiency in reading P&ID's and layout drawings
- Flexibility to work different shift patterns and travel as required
