The Role
There is an incredible opportunity for a talented Content Editor to join tour clients dynamic team as part of the groundbreaking SharePoint to Cloud project. Get ready to unleash your creativity and expertise as you play a crucial role in transforming their legacy intranet and SharePoint sites into a cutting-edge enterprise Intranet and SharePoint Online platform.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the content migration team, your responsibilities will include:
- Migrating content: Transfer existing content from current intranet/SharePoint to the new platform, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the new style and tone guidelines.
- Reviewing and adapting content: Collaborate with Content Owners to review, edit, and adapt existing content, ensuring it aligns with the new platform's requirements and fits within the new Information Architecture (IA).
- Collaborating with stakeholders: Work closely with the intranet team, content creators, SMEs, and IT professionals to coordinate content creation efforts and ensure a seamless transition.
- Supporting migration planning: Provide input and assistance to the supplier in creating and updating the SP Online migration plan and Teamsite migration dates, ensuring a well-organized and efficient process.
- Mapping and documentation: Control and assist the business in mapping content from the old platform to the new SP Online architecture design, document the final mapping, and obtain sign-off from stakeholders.
- Providing guidance and direction: Engage with the business to provide clear directions and support for SP On-Premise content clean-up tasks, ensuring that each Teamsite/Business Unit meets the agreed schedule run dates.
- Additional responsibilities: Undertake any other duties as required to contribute to the successful completion of the content migration project.
About You
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Previous hands-on experience with SharePoint content management systems.
- Proven track record in writing and editing for web platforms, showcasing exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working within large and complex organizations, with a specific focus on intranets, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
- Proficiency in content migration from legacy intranets/SharePoint to modern enterprise Intranet and SharePoint platforms.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with content owners to create engaging and compelling content for new pages, aligning with the future state modern enterprise Intranet and SharePoint platform.
