Contract Manager

We are now looking for a Methods Engineer to join our highly skilled, Rollingstock JV team. Reporting directly to the Methods Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the QTMP rollingstock achieves design-for-Manufacturing-and-Assembly objectives on safety, quality and productivity. You will be accountable for:

• Ensuring strong relationships and highly effective communication between Engineering and Production teams
• Actively support and assist with the implementation of best practice manufacturing techniques
• Preparation for Day One Production Readiness involving validation of processes, equipment and tooling
• Overseeing the introduction of technical changes, ensuring its effective coordination
• Timely delivery of lineside support within cross-functional teams

This is a fulltime, permanent role, and can be based in Brisbane or Torbanlea initially, with a view to transition to Torbanlea, QLD during production phase.

About You:

• 4+ years relevant experience in Method Engineering (ideally in an OEM environment)
• Degree qualification in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relay technical information in a way that is easy to understand
• Strong people skills and collaborative approach to work
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvments
• Highly proficient utilising Excel, and skilled in 3D CAD software
• Strong knowledge of resistance and MIG/MAG welding; or vehicle pneumatics, mechanical fitout; or vehicle power and electrical wiring systems
