With a strong reputation in the industry, they are seeking a Contracts Administrator to contribute to their continued success. The Good Bits:
The senior management team have come from companies including SHAPE, Watpac, FDC, Building Engineering, and Ireland Brown.
They're delivering projects up to around $30m and winning tenders against reputable and long-standing industry players. They're getting regular repeat work with great clients, both private and government.
They utilise a range of top-tier software applications including HammerTech, Procore, ProcurePro, EstimateOne, Bluebeam, Cubit and MS suite.
They do end of the month drinks, a BBQ for on-site teams when the weather permits, quarterly update get togethers that also have an L&D component to them. They have a health and wellbeing program that they run which allows the employees to nominate what they want to spend a couple of days a year doing (paid) towards helping a charity or something similar.
They've completed work on major sites including St Vincent's Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne University, RMIT, and many more.
The Nitty Gritty:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer construction contracts for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure contract compliance.
- Monitor and control project costs, budgets, and variations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Assist in the procurement and negotiation of subcontractor agreements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in contract administration within the commercial construction industry.
- A background in health projects is highly regarded but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of project close-out processes.
- Experience in overseeing services packages is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
