On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Oil & Gas Energy industry, Brunel is presently sourcing a Cost Controller for a 12 month contract located in the Perth CBD.
You will be responsible for the daily cost control activities related to Implementation group scopes of works reporting to the Cost Control Team Lead.
- Develop and maintain reports that are timely, accurate, reliable, and forward looking to support decision making by the Implementation Management Team
- Providing visibly of contractor costs
- Focal Point for contractor commitments, PR/PO process, SES release, provide governance over CTR process and registers
- Support contractor invoicing process in line with overall Services function
- Support review of contractor’s monthly cost, VoWD and forecast to complete reporting
- Provides cost anomaly analysis support to cost control and Services Team
- Provide scope and activity-based cost forecasts and trends, supporting Finance and Operations cost visibility
- Supports annual budget build and ongoing challenges
- Responsible to prepare a monthly cost report content together with Management Accountant and Services Team Leads
- Maintain and utilise cost control tools and systems including interfaces with accounting system (SAP)
- Business Administration or equivalent professional qualification
- Project Management qualifications or equivalent - desirable
- Contract Management training or equivalent - desirable
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry or Heavy industry in the field of implementation, execution and contractor management
- Experience in cost control and coordination of Services
- Exposure to development and management of Maintenance Services Contracts and commercial set ups; ideally SAP, Cost Control, Cost tracking
- Integrated planning, resources mobilisation, and competency management
- Strong interpersonal skills in negotiating, influencing and teamwork
- SAP skills (MM module) – desirable
- Cost Analysis, Estimating, Reporting and Forecasting
- SAP cost and WMS modules
- Work scope planning understanding
- Contractor cost management / Cost Control
- Accounting familiarity
- Ability to multi-task coordinate activities
- Excellent communication skills
