There are two main objectives to the Credit Controller position:

Management and control of the credit risk associated with MCC customers. This involves assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers before extending credit to them and collect.  

Management and collection of payments from customers. It involves the administration and tracking of the money owed to the company and reporting on the same.

About the role

Credit Assessment: Evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of customers through credit checks, financial statements, and other relevant information.

Credit Limits: Set appropriate credit limits for customers based on the assessment of their ability to pay.

Credit Terms: Establish and communicate credit terms, including payment terms and conditions.

Monitoring and Review: Continuously monitor customer accounts to ensure compliance with credit terms and review credit limits periodically.

Invoicing: Generate and send invoices to customers for the products or services provided.

Payment Processing: Record and track payments received from customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Aging Analysis: Monitor the aging of receivables to identify overdue payments and take appropriate actions.

Communication: Communicate with customers regarding overdue payments, resolve billing issues, and negotiate payment plans if necessary.

Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial records.

Key stakeholder management: Network with financial institutions such as banks, and lenders. Sales and customer service team members as well as the site leadership.

About you

• Experienced account receivable experience in a large organisation 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills – being able to broker solutions that works for the customer and MCC
• Achievement orientated - meeting deadlines and delivering month-end reporting in the timeframe provided.
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts flexibly
• Sound IT skills including the suite of Microsoft packages.
• Uses data, experience in Accounts Receivable and knowledge of MCC”s customers to make decisions
• Experience working in a demanding fast paced environment with managing a large number of accounts.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of credit control systems
