About the North East Metro Health Service Partnership
Austin Health is the lead organization for the North East Metro Health Service Partnership (NEM HSP). It is one of three metropolitan clusters that were initially formed during the COVID-19 response but whose remit has now expanded to deliver system improvement and redesign across a range of services including pathology, home base care and surgical care. The North East Metro Health Service Partnership includes the following health services: Austin Health, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Eastern Health, Northern Health, Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women (Heidelberg) and Forensicare in partnership with the Eastern Melbourne and North Western Melbourne Primary Health Networks.
The NEM HSP has an ambitious vision to design and implement contemporary shared service models with the aim of improving patient outcomes and experience, as well as access, quality and efficiency of care. The NEMHSP is currently collaborating on several home-based care initiatives through the Better@Home initiative, is delivering collaborative models for planned (elective) surgery as part of the $21.6 million 2021-22 State Budget program to drive innovative ways to reduce wait times and embed more sustainable approaches to surgery and undertaking work to deliver improvements in Mental Health through implementation of recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System.
About the role
The objective of this role is to manage a significant digital program of work, the expansion of the Austin Health / NEM HSP CRM to other Victorian health services. Successful delivery will require senior stakeholder management and change leadership, and the ability to manage competing priorities and coordination across multiple health services. These include stakeholders, the Austin’s ICT resources, external software suppliers and governance structures.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled Program Manager with experience delivering major change in hospital environments. This is a senior project management role that also requires analytical / logical thought and process, with an understanding of the Victorian health system and multi-organisation governance approaches, ideally coupled with a strong understanding of information technology professional disciplines and data architecture strategies.
