St John has been delivering first aid and community medical support services to the NSW community for over 130 years. The scope of these services has grown to include:
- First aid training; including specialist courses for mental health, high risk work sites, workplaces, and free first aid training to primary school children
- Event health services; keeping people safe at events right across NSW, ranging from small local gatherings to large scale events
- Equipping individuals, families and workplaces with high quality first aid products and services
- Working alongside emergency services organisations in times of need and disasters
- Workplace health services such as contracted paramedic services and temperature testing
About the Role:
The Customer Development Officer is responsible for proactive interacting with existing and new small to medium accounts on a daily basis to sell across all of St John’s products and services.
The Customer Development Officer is involved in all stages of the commercial product, and training sales objectives, understanding, and serving the customer needs, generating new business and developing a clear plan to maximise commercial sales for nominated sector portfolios in St John.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales activities including sales calls and client engagement direct
- Conducting client meetings with qualified leads or prospects to deliver sales outcomes
- Manage sales activities, pipeline opportunities and account management activity using Microsoft Dynamic
- Conduct post sales follow up calls and engagement with customers
- Reporting regularly on sales activities and metrics to team lead/manager
- Actively participate and collaborate across sales and service teams to share customer opportunities
- Ensure full compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Our Ideal Candidates will have:
- 1-2 years minimum demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience working in a sales outbound call role
- Demonstrated experience working to agreed sales targets and KPI’s
- Sound database management experience
- Effective time management skills with the ability to allocate appropriate amounts of time for completing work and avoiding scheduling conflicts
- Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to mine designated portfolio relationships to achieve sales growth
- Strong demonstrated ability and experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
