The Role
The Growth Team plays a pivotal role in growing our membership, increasing penetration at our schools and creating value for our members and employers by offering personalised quality service. Reporting into the Head of Customer Engagement, this permanent full time role plays a key role in delivering personalised service to highly engaged employers, members and key stakeholders across Sydney and regional NSW.
Key focus areas include:
- Retention and growth of an employer/member portfolio through various servicing and engagement activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners of NGS, including attendance at industry and partner events, conferences and awards programs, as required by the Head of Customer Engagement and the CGO.
- Develop and maintain strong and valued B2B relationships at all levels of seniority within allocated portfolio of clients.
- Input into the development and execution of an annual state and individual business plan.
- Identify and develop opportunities and maintain relationships with prospective employers as well as ensuring the smooth transition of any new business.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records within the NGS Salesforce system following visits (and key interactions) to key account employers and members in accordance with the AFSL.
- Within the Engagement Strategy delivered to key accounts the Customer Relationship Manager will commit to an annual program of member service initiatives to be delivered via a range of communication mediums.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training required to be an approved representative of NGS.
You have
- Successfully completed the Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (or equivalent).
- RG 146 accreditation.
- 5+ years of account management experience within the superannuation industry.
- Advanced superannuation and insurance technical product knowledge.
- A self -starter, that is highly driven with superior superannuation business acumen.
- Proactive engaged and motivated person who is passionate about the delivery of personalised service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including report writing and public speaking).
- Excellent presentation skills for both webinar and seminar delivery.
- Knowledge of the industrial relations environment and superannuation issues (such as State/Federal Awards and EBA’s).
- Ability to develop and implement successful account management, engagement plans and sales strategies, including the development and growth of strong B2B relationships.
- An unrestricted driver’s licence.
- The ability to retain existing business, also win and attract new business opportunities as they present.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a national team.
Desirable
- Knowledge of (or prior experience in) the superannuation industry.

- Financial planning experience.
- Proven senior relationship management skills
- Ability to analyse and understand employer and member data and communicate these insights and trends to relevant parties both internally and externally
- Ability to convert new business opportunities as they arise
- Accomplished networking skills
