The Opportunity

Find your ME at MEGT and join Australia’s single largest Apprenticeship Service Provider (ASP) as we expand and grow our footprint in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Western Australia (WA).

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your exceptional Customer Service Officer (CSO) experience and be part of a brand-new region, providing an important support role within our ASP Field Team.

Based in Karratha, the CSO Field role is responsible for providing internal and external customers quality Customer Service in the areas of Engagement and Apprenticeships Technical Support Services.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager (CSM), this dynamic and customer centric focused role will day to day involve:

  • Providing Customer Service to customers either in person or via the telephone providing relevant advice and support
  • Assist employers and Australian Apprentices with the completion of a Training Contract, incentive claims, personal benefit claims, Trade Support Loan Applications and other relevant documentation.
  • Follow up customer enquiries either directly or with other appropriate MEGT personnel within agreed service standards
  • Identify/refer customers to relevant and appropriate agencies such as State Training Authorities (STAs), Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), and other relevant organisations.
  • Perform administration tasks including the maintenance of customer records across the AASS program.
  • Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of all legislation, regulations and Government policy relating to the provision of AASS services.

About you

You will be an energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter with a background in administration, sales support or Customer Service including:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An excellent phone manner for inbound and outbound calls including experience in an environment with significant phone traffic
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to identify escalation points
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be receptive to change
  • Proven experience in meeting set targets, KPIs and Customer Service standards
  • Ability to prioritise and time manage effectively to successfully achieve results
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant policy and legislation.
  • High level of computer literacy across a range of devices and programs.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to identify escalation points.
  • Well presented with a professional, confident and friendly approach.
  • Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality
  • Knowledge of the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services Program (highly desirable)
