We are seeking a dedicated, energetic and experienced Customer Service Operator within the freight industry to join their team on a full-time basis located in their Bankstown office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Your job duties & responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintaining portfolio of clients as assigned
- Maintain client work instructions and request changes with client implementation for SOP amendments.
- Monthly/quarterly rates maintenance for key customers based on Account Managers instructions.
- Manage order status reports / in transit reports for clients
- Document all customer shipping enquiries and keep client updated of shipment progress, delays etc.
- Monitoring network import shipments between overseas origins and destinations.
- Communicate between clientele and networks
- Taking appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances
- Take responsibility for completing a skills inventory and to ensure that all training received is recorded on personal training inventory.
- Take responsibility for reviewing all customer purchase orders, telephone, over the counter orders and for resolving all outstanding issues
- Communicate with clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Other tasks and responsibilities which may be assigned as and when required by your supervisor / manager

Requirements
To be successful you will need:
- Experience in Customer Service within a similar organization
- 2+ years experience in International Freight Forwarding
- General freight forwarding training
- Phone etiquette training
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Own reliable transport
