Role Overview
As a Development Engineer (Technical), you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our city. You'll collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that new developments align with our infrastructure standards, safety regulations, and environmental goals. Your technical expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of projects that enhance our community's well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Development Assessment: Evaluate development proposals, conduct technical reviews, and provide recommendations on engineering aspects.
Infrastructure Design: Work closely with project teams to design and oversee infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, utilities, and public spaces.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with developers, contractors, and community members to address technical queries and concerns.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and consultants to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in Development Engineering, preferably within a local government context.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
