  • Remuneration: Total remuneration range: $130,901 to $148,369 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $110,613 to $125,373 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Development Manager (Faculty of Health) to join Advancement Office, Business Development Portfolio, Chancellery Division.

As a member of the Advancement Office, the Development Manager plays a key role in working closely with the senior leadership of the faculty and key academics to source philanthropic opportunities from individuals, corporates, and trusts and foundations. The role will focus on leveraging current relationships and building a pipeline of new prospects and opportunities to build sustainable and meaningful partnerships that create shared value.

The Business Development Portfolio provides university-wide coordination and stewardship of QUT’s engagement with industry, philanthropic and alumni communities. Led by the Vice-President (Business Development), the following areas fall within the Portfolio’s responsibility: 
•    Office of the Vice-President (Business Development); 
•    Industry Engagement; 
•    Advancement; and 
•    Alumni, Venues and Events..

What you need to succeed

1.    Education, training and/or relevant experience to completion of a postgraduate degree with relevant experience in fundraising, business development or similar or an equivalent combination of experience / training. 
2.    Proven ability to take initiative and develop relationships that drive and deliver desired outcomes, preferably in meeting or exceeding income targets from effective fundraising or business development activities.
3.    Demonstrated track record in relationship management and business development. 
4.    Highly developed communication skills including the ability to write effectively and persuasively for a wide range of audiences. Preferable experience in preparing fundraising proposals, writing fundraising agreements, designing plans, preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.
5.    Highly developed interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work collegially and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and represent QUT to these stakeholders. 
6.    Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment as part of a high-performing team, and provide excellence in service provision.
