Job description

Mirvac's people are our most valuable asset. We are proud to have built a culture of inclusivity, innovation and collaboration, becoming a place where people genuinely want to work. Two recent accolades to reflect this are:

#1 in AFR BOSS' Best Places to Work in Property, Construction & Transport 2022

We also offer a number of competitive and unique benefits for permanent employees including:

  • Flexible Work Arrangements
  • $1000 of Mirvac Securities Annually
  • Leadership and Professional Development Programs
  • Generous Parental & Partner Leave Policy
  • Unlimited Volunteer Leave and National Community Day
  • Mirvac Pride Committee
Mirvac is an Australian property group with a clearly defined purpose to 'reimagine urban life'. For over 50 years, we've dedicated ourselves to shaping Australia's urban landscape. Our evolution has been significant, growing from a small joint venture to a thriving ASX-listed property group that leads the way in sustainability, innovation, safety and placemaking.

Our opportunity

We have an opportunity for two Development Managers to join our Brisbane team supporting Master Planned Community projects. Both projects are located South of Brisbane CBD, with one project at early stage (7,000+ lots to be developed), and the second is a multi-award winning active development project with approximately 2,000 lots yet to deliver.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Create and manage project feasibility - single stage, multi stages, JV models and all components of financial model.
  • Establish and manage budgets and cash flows accurately.
  • Ability to enter into and negotiate/finalise negotiations.
  • Review and manage development programme and brief.
  • Possess thorough understanding of planning system and ability to seek and obtain Development Approvals.
  • Expertise in legal, regulatory, and other industry matters, with the ability to provide recommendations for actions internally within project feasibility.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities to optimise outcomes and know when to escalate to management.
  • Ability to identify all aspects of development including identifying deficiencies, standardisation, innovation, revenue time and cost to extract maximum value.
  • Ability to see and communicate 'the bigger picture', new business opportunities, and put together requirements.
  • Ability to chair and run efficient and meaningful meetings.
Your point of difference

You will be professionally qualified with demonstrated Development experience working on residential projects, ideally with delivery of Master Planned Community projects. A thorough understanding of project feasibility is essential.

Your communication and writing skills will be of a high calibre, you will be confident creating detailed written reports and have the ability to chair meaningful meetings. In addition, you will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to drive outcomes while effectively dealing with ambiguity and complexity.
